The Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants (formerly known as Institute of Natural Fibres) is an interdisciplinary research centre with international standing, conducting complex research on fibrous and medicinal plants, with 80 years of activity. The Department of Composites deals with composites and nanocomposites with higher resistance to fire, fire retardants and systems for protection of wood, wood derivatives, textile products and plastics, their action mechanisms, as well as composites of epoxy resins reinforced with carbon nanotubes.
There is a new air-conditioned conference hall at the Institute with 250 seats and all the necessary audio-visual equipment. Institute is well experienced in organizing international conferences and congresses and can ensure all logistics for this conference.
